Each opens live in the circuit lab with the exact battery, resistor, and LED already placed. Change one value and watch the multimeter — that is the whole lesson of a current-limiting resistor.

The safe blink

9 V through 470 Ω into a red LED — ~14.9 mA, lit and living. The textbook current-limited LED.

Too much current

Same battery, same LED, but only 47 Ω — ~149 mA. Watch the verdict flip to BURNING OUT. Undersize the resistor and you cook the part.

A dim glow

Drop to a 3 V coin cell — only ~2 mA gets through. Lit, but barely. Voltage headroom is why the blink is faint.

A button in series — the LED is dark until you press it closed. The first thing a sensor ever does: complete a loop.
